THE COARSE FISHING RECKONER
The coarse fishing reckoner is a computer program that predicts which species of coarse fish will be the most active on any given day. This has been constructed from 8 years of research which is on-going. An article about the program appeared in the Angling Times in 2006 and it has been developed further since then. The program uses a database of conditions and species caught using the following criteria:
Month, Wind Direction, Wind Strength, Weather, Air Temperature, Water Temperature, Water Colour, Barometric Pressure, and Moon Phase.
We also use this database to provide other information as to species activity in relation to the above conditions. The species covered are:
Tench, Carp, Bream, Roach, Chub, Big Roach, Crucian Carp and Rudd.
